Inspiring Women

We continue with Women's History Month celebrating women that inspire us.  There are too many to list and all inspiring in different ways. Here are a few women of note and what they might shop from Flight...

STACEY ABRAMS

Stacey Abrams is a Yale-trained tax attorney, entrepreneur, author, and small business owner. She served in the Georgia House of Representatives from 2007 to 2017, serving as minority leader from 2011 to 2017. In 2020 Stacey stood out as a voting rights activist and played a major part in boosting voter turnout in Georgia. She is currently running for governor or Georgia.  We picked out a timeless plaid blazer and black heeled sandals to keep her looking stylish and professional.

 ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ

AOC is a politician, activist, and has served as the U.S. representative for New York's 14th congressional district since 2019 at the age of 29. She advocates a progressive platform that includes support for workplace democracy, Medicare for All, tuition-free public college, a federal jobs guarantee, a Green New Deal, and abolishing the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). AOC is a very stylish politician, we want to style her in the Nirina top and skirt and the Rocca saddle bag for brunch with friends on the weekend.

LORI, BLAIRE'S MOM!

This wonderful lady has a heart of solid gold. She is passing it down to her kids, grandkids, and everyone she meets along the way. Lori looks fantastic in anything and is one of our best customers! We chose a new perfume oil for her to try out as the weather warms up and an adorable bow front tank.

CINDY, KRISTEN'S MOM!

Cindy is the hardest worker and she does it all with such grace and intelligence. She puts her kids grandkids family before herself always. Sweet Cindy is the most kind person. There’s nothing she can’t do when she puts her mind to it she is a true inspiration to Kristen, her kids, and all the women, mom’s, and grandma’s out there! Cindy would wear the Arve Floral blouse and a classic black blazer from the shop.

RUTH BADER GINSBURG (1933-2020)

RBG was an lawyer and jurist who served as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1993 until her death in 202. She presented a strong voice in favor of gender equality, the rights of workers and the separation of church and state. We all know RGB’s wardrobe was set with her judicial black robes and decorative collars, so we picked out the Lola crossbody bag, the crisscross ring, and a self care gift box for this icon.

GRETA THUNBERG

This 19 year old is a force to be reckoned with. Greta is a Swedish environmental activist who is known for challenging world leaders to take immediate action for climate change mitigation. Thunberg's activism began when she persuaded her parents to adopt lifestyle choices that reduced their own carbon footprint. We think she would get lots of wear out of the Logan Dad Jean and these black platform sandals.

LORI GOLDSTEIN

A fashion stylist, editor, author, designer of LOGO by Lori Goldstein for QVC, She has frequently collaborated with major photographers like Steven Meisel and Annie Leibovitz creating countless fashion editorials. Lori is a risk taker and says that anything goes with everything. Instead of questioning “why?” she asks “why not?”. She has been breaking the rules with her multifaceted eccentric style for over 30 years. Leather bucket hat, patterned sweatshirt, and a statement shoe - we can’t wait to see how Lori styles these items together.
